Favorite Tales for Language Learners
These two sets of reproducible materials teach listening skills, vocabulary and syntax. Six stories are presented in each set. Using interactive teaching methods, story components encourage the give-and-take pattern of normal conversation.
Story components include:
- A brief, simplified version of each story
- An interactive version of the story at a slightly higher syntactic
level, combined with comprehension questions
- Twelve sequenced illustrations of the story
- Flannel board patterns of the principal story characters and objects
Favorite Tales contains Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, Aladdin and His Magic Lamp, Little Red Riding Hood, Young King Arthur and Cinderella.
