Introducing Inference
This book presents a very simple, straightforward way of introducing the difficult task of drawing inference. Students are taught to use inference in reasoning or problem solving by identifying and supplying missing information.
Students are asked to:
- identify missing parts of pictured objects, animals and people
- identify missing parts of sequenced events or processes shown in pictures
- predict or analyze outcomes by identifying and supplying specific types of missing information
In addition, students are encouraged to tell how they came to their conclusions.
These reproducible activities progress to accommodate younger as well as older students.
