Planned Language Program
This unique and exciting program encourages development of language skills starting at the non- or minimally verbal level through enjoyable, talkative play situations. Included are:
- Durable, wooden toy furniture (three rooms, playground)
- Two play families
- Full-color food and object cards
- Assorted accessory objects
- 80 planned language lessons, each with goals for receptive and expressive language
Each of the 80 lessons has the activities totally prepared for use. Included among the many language activities are:
- Learning name labels
- Distinguishing color and size
- Acting out spatial positions
- Choosing between answers
- Completing sentences
- Expressing verbal reasoning
- Talking about spatial positions
- Describing how things are used
- Forming categories
- Following directions (three levels)
- Acting out stories
- Participating in pretend play
Structure and repetition are provided in every lesson. The program may be used with individuals or small groups.
