Activities for Mastering Inferences
These materials teach students that an inference is a hint about what a person means without the person actually saying it. By understanding inferences (hints), students learn to conclude the meaning that is suggested rather than actually stated. The reproducible activities give extensive practice in recognizing inferences (hints) and understanding their meanings. After identifying the picture that matches the stated inference, students are asked explain their choice. This book makes an excellent companion to Introducing Inference.
