Verbal Reasoning Activities
While talkative and older preschoolers may be able to verbalize their reasoning when answering questions, shy children or children with limited communication skills need to develop this skill. These reproducible activities provide numerous visual clues to assist young children in expressing verbal reasoning skills.
The activities incorporate the following types of questions:
- What would happen?
- What would happen if...?
- Why is this happening?
- Why do you think...?
- Why or why not?
- Why is this true?
To successfully participate in these activities, the children should be capable of verbally expressing their thoughts.
Age: 4 to 8
