Artic and Lit
This comprehensive resource uses children's favorite books as the context for development and practice of articulation and language skills. Forty popular children's stories have been analyzed for developmentally appropriate phonemes, language structures and concepts.
Presented in general order of increasing difficulty, the articulation
and language activities allow specialists and teachers to target specific
goals while integrating listening, thinking, speaking and reading skills.
For each of the 40 stories, the following reproducible materials are
provided:
- Articulation activities
- Lists of story-related words organized by target phoneme
- Gameboard and cards for target word practice
- Story-related language activities
Artic & Lit may be used with children in preschool through grade three as well as with non-English speakers and children at risk for learning and language. As a tool for collaboration, these materials are excellent for speech and language specialists, special and regular education teachers, Chapter I teachers, teachers of the hearing impaired and other professionals.
